The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday formally okayed the designs for proposed iconic bridge planned to be constructed on River Krishna at Pavitra Sangamam. The bridge will connect Pavitra Sangamam to the State capital Amaravati.

​Amaravati: The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meeting chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday formally okayed the designs for proposed iconic bridge planned to be constructed on River Krishna at Pavitra Sangamam. The bridge will connect Pavitra Sangamam to the State capital Amaravati.

The Chief Minister evinced interest on a two-storey model. The first floor will be utilised for regular traffic while the second floor could be utilised for recreation purpose.

The L&T Company submitted five designs but the Chief Minister was impressed by the design which reflected that of the bridge constructed in Kanyakumari.

The Chief Minister hoped that the bridge would showcase the greatness of the Sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh.
