Speaking to the mediapersons, the Minister said that the results in the two states show a clear landslide victory of Modi’s regime. Referring to Uttar Pradesh result, “Out of 16 crore population in the state more than two-thirds voted for BJP. This shows their faith in BJP and Modi's policies and reforms,” he added.

He said that in spite of the propaganda by the Opposition parties, people considered demonetisation of high value currency as a financial reform and voted for the BJP. “The BJP government will bring more welfare schemes for the betterment of the lives of the poor and weaker section,” he added.
