CS-XI vs DGP-XI cricket match on March 26

​Vijayawada: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) will organise IAS and IPS cricket tournament with the support of Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) at ACA cricket grounds at Mulapadu in Ibrahimpatnam mandal on March 26.

SAAP has made elaborate arrangements at the ACA grounds and for practice sessions at ACA International stadium at Mangalagiri in Guntur district. The practice sessions will be held at Mangalagiri from March 22 to 24. SAAP Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Rama Krishna addressing a media conference at the IGMC stadium here on Tuesday, said that Chief Secretary Ajeya Kallam would lead the IAS officers team and Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao would lead the IPS officers team.

This type of cricket tournament was conducted during the Assembly Budget sessions in the combined Andhra Pradesh, he pointed out. After the state bifurcation for the first time, the CS XI and DGP XI will take part in a cricket match on March 26, he said.

After completion of the Budget session, Collectors and SPs cricket match would be organised very soon, he announced. Vijayawada Police Commissioner D Gautam Sawang, Additional DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, and Inspector General (IG) N Madhusudhan Reddy, PV Sunil Kumar, Atul Singh, RK Meena and others are in the DGP team, he said. Special Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam, Krishna District Collector Babu A, CRDA Commissioner Ch Sridhar and others are in CS team, he added.
