Pawan fans protest black marketing of Katamarayudu tickets

Nidadavole (Rajamahendravaram): The fans of Pawan Kalyan and Peoples’ Associations and CPM workers staged a dharna at Mandal Tahsildar office in Nidadavole, in
protest against the black ticket sale of Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu movie at Veerabhadra theatre here. The Katamarayudu movie is scheduled to release today. However, some fans have decided to play a benefit show at 01.00 hours of Thursday.
The fans and people went to get the ticket to the benefit show of Katamarayudu, are desperate with the ticket rate which ranged up to Rs.600. The fans alleged that under the guise of benefit show, the organisers are collecting higher amounts from the people and fans. Allegations were made against the theatre management that it has encouraged the black marketing of tickets.
The CPM workers also participated in the dharna, demanding the officials to take action against the theatre for not maintaining the hall according to the rules. They alleged that no fans, no toilets functioned in the theatre that is showing the Katamarayudu movie.
Later the fans, peoples’ association representatives, CPM leaders submitted a memorandum to the mandal tahsildar Srinivasa Rao. The mandal tahsildar responding to the representation has warned that if any one sells the tickets of the movie at higher rates, action will be initiated on them.
He stated that no permissions have been sanctioned to benefit show of the movie. The theatre management Gamini Nageswara Rao, lessee Sivaji, Konijeti Narayana, ASI Mukkayya police and revenue personnel also reached the spot.
The mandal tahsildar conducted a meeting with the management of the theatre and warned of a seizure of the hall if it violates rules. He asked them to show the Sub Collector's order to exhibit the benefit show in the hall or otherwise, he will seize the theatre.
