Chief Minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu said on Wednesday that he is working with an aim to satisfy 80% of the people, and urged the party leaders to sensitise remaining 20% of the people about welfare schemes being implemented by the party.

He opined that if the party leaders followed his advice there would be no chance for other parties in the state. He expressed confidence that the TDP will continue in the power. He addressed a meeting held at the TDP State Party office on the occasion of the party’s 36th Formation Day. He pointed out that the strength of TDP is its activists.
He said he felt depressed when incidents of murders of activists were reported. He recalled that former MLA Paritala Ravi was murdered at the party office in Anantapur. He said similarly, several party leaders were murdered in Kadapa, Kurnool and other districts. Naidu said that the TDP government gave water to Pulivendula and expressed confidence that the party candidate will win in Pulivendula in the next Assembly elections.
He said that he would strengthen the party right from the grassroot level and urged the party leaders and activists to campaign about development and welfare schemes being implemented by the government.
The TDP supremo said that he will never forget the sacrifices made by the party activists.
He stated that some party leaders may shift their loyalty to other parties, but the activists continue in the party. He said the government accommodated more than one lakh party activists in the Janmabhoomi Committees and leaders were provided nominated posts in recognition of their services.
He said the TDP created welfare fund for its activists and promised to implement more welfare programmes for them in future. Naidu promised to provide Krishna water to Madakasira, Kuppam and Peruru during this year. He assured that he would develop Rayalaseema into a horticulture hub to increase income of the farmers. He pointed out that the government completed Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Project in a record time and concentrated on Polavaram Project.
He said the TDP kept its poll promise by implementing loan waiver scheme for the benefit of farmers. He recalled that TDP founder and former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao launched the pension scheme for poor first time in the country.
The present TDP government increased the social security pension from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000 per month. Similarly, pension for physically challenged was hiked to Rs 1,500 per month. Earlier, Naidu felicitated the TDP activists who rendered selfless service to the party during the last 35 years.
TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, state president Kala Venkata Rao, Ministers Prathipati Pulla Rao, Ravela Kishore Babu, TDP district president G V Anjaneyulu and MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy were among those who participated in the meeting.
