Lokesh takes oath as AP Council member
TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has taken oath as MLC at Legislative Council BAC hall room in the presence of Council chairman Dr A Chakrapani, here on Thursday.

The oath-taking ceremony took place at 9.45am and was attended by TDP MLAs, MLCs and Ministers in large number.
Nara Lokesh, who was elected as MLC under MLAs quota recently has reached Assembly buildings at Velagapudi half an hour before of his oath taking and he was welcomed by the party MLAs in a grand manner.
Later, he straight away walked into the BAC hall and waited for the auspicious hour for taking oath. He took oath in Telugu and after taking oath he took the blessings of the veda pundits, who were brought exclusively for the programme.
Earlier in the day, Lokesh along with other newly elected party MLCs has garlanded the statue of his grandfather and TDP founder NT Rama Rao at the state party office in Guntur.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu greeted the newly elected MLCs including his son Nara Lokesh. Apart from Lokesh, MLCs Karanam Balarama Krishnamurthy, B Arjunudu, Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, Pothula Sujatha, Deepak Reddy and B.Tech Ravi met the CM at his chamber in the Assembly.
On this occasion, Naidu suggested the members to work hard for solving the problems of the people. He also said the members should bring public issues to government through Council for finding better solutions. “Democratic forums are ultimate platforms to provide solution,” he said and added the members should not forget it in all their service. He also wished them to bring good image to Telugu Desam by fulfilling the hopes of people.
Actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna attended the Nara Lokesh’s oath taking occasion at chamber of the Council chairman. He also stood beside his son-in-law Lokesh. It is his second visit to attend the Assembly. After completion of the oath taking, the Balakrishna hugged Lokesh. Later, the actor spent some time in the Assembly along with his MLA colleagues.
Meanwhile newly-elected other MLCs Alla Srinivas(Nani), Gangula Prabhakar Reddy (both from YSRC), Kathi Narasimha Reddy, Vennapusa Gopal Reddy, Yandapalli Srinivasulu also took oath in the presence of Chairman.
