Tirupati: The 33 per cent reservation for women in the statutory bodies should be implemented immediately, demanded the district unit of AP Mahila Samakhya.
Samakhya’s city general secretary N Manjula said that they initiated the post card agitation here on Thursday, to bring the issue to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Though the BJP-led NDA government came into power with women votes, it is deceiving the women, she alleged. Samakhya district president C Rathnamma and organising secretary B Nadiya have stated that the attacks on women have increased after Modi government came to power.
