Automobile shops flooded with customers

Vizianagaram: The automobile shops have received overwhelming response after the announcement of huge discount on two wheelers.

All the companies like Hero, TVS Automobile, Bajaj, Honda have announced discount on their motor cycles and scooters as the Supreme Court has directed to ban the production of two wheelers which are following the Bureau of Standard-3 in the country from April 1.

This is a bitter pill to the automobile manufacturers and dealers too. The dealers have brought good number of vehicles recently as they know that the public will purchase new vehicles on Ugadi, but due to some reasons most of the vehicles were unsold. Now the Supreme Court fiat has dashed their hopes.

So, the dealers, manufacturers are announcing offers to clear the stock. On March 31, all the dealers have opened the special counters to clear the applications. Even they minimised the norms for sanctioning loans too. Based on the model, the customers are getting around Rs 5000 Rs 20,000 discount on the bikes.

K Ramana of Vizianagaram, came to TVS Showroom to buy a motor cycle, and said, “This is a good opportunity for me as I am getting Rs10,000 discount. Even they eased the norms on sanctioning of loans. Therefore, I was granted loan and by paying small amount as down payment I got the bike.”
