Congress seeks Praja Ballot for bagging Special Status
Andhra Pradesh Congress committee President N Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress party will fight until Andhra Pradesh gets its special status as it is the right of the state. He was addressing as the Chief Guest at the Praja Vedana meeting held at Nidadavole on Saturday.

Nidadavole Constituency Congress coordinator Kamisetty Satyanarayana presided over the meeting.Speaking at the meeting, Raghuveera said that all political parties are coming forward to fight to get the Special Status to the State. However, he criticised that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is stepping back from the demand of Special Status.
He said that the Congress will oppose the enhancement of the power tariff. He demanded to roll back the increased tariff immediately and the government should collect the charges as of 2014 March.
Former Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi, former MP Kanumuri Bapiraju, District Congress committee President MD Rafiullah Baig, State Women Congress Cell President Sunkara Padmasri, DCCB former President Karatam Rambabu, Nidadavole Congress President Venkateswara Rao and others participated in the meeting.
Earlier a motorbike rally was conducted in the town and conducted Praja Ballet on the 600 Assurances of TDP Government made during elections in the state. The PCC President himself handled the ballot box and toured on the roads to get votes from the people.
Meanwhile, during the motorcycle rally, former MP Kanumuri Bapiraju slipped from the bike as it skidded on the road. In this process, he received minor injuries to his knee. However, he continued his bike rally along with other leaders.
