The annual credit plan [ACP] outlay for East Godavari has been fixed at Rs 19,770 crore in the district bankers committee meet [DCC] for the year 2017-18. Of this the agriculture sector has been given top priority with allocation of Rs 7,380 crore. For agriculture and allied activity Rs 3,641 crore has been allotted.

Kakinada: The annual credit plan [ACP] outlay for East Godavari has been fixed at Rs 19,770 crore in the district bankers committee meet [DCC] for the year 2017-18. Of this the agriculture sector has been given top priority with allocation of Rs 7,380 crore. For agriculture and allied activity Rs 3,641 crore has been allotted.

Under this programme the women SHGs as part of women empowerment was allocated Rs 1,253 crore. Besides this medium irrigation, farm mechanisation, dairy, poultry, fisheries, sheep and piggery and horticulture were also given priority with allocation of Rs 2,058 crore. The export sector got due prominence with Rs 345 crore.

Among other priorities education sector has been allotted Rs 200 crore and housing to the extent of Rs 773 crore. With due prominence to prospective entrepreneurs and encouragement to MSME [micro small and medium enterprises] Rs 2,664 crore has been allotted to this sector.


With this the allocation for total priority sector has gone up to Rs 15,745 crore. East Godavari lead bank district manager [LDM] B. V. Subrahmanyam said that the ACP for 2017-18 exceeds the previous ACP for 2016-17 by Rs 703 crore.
