Srikakulam: Police unravelled murder mystery of a 14-year-old girl at Kusalapuram in Etcherla mandal and arrested two persons here on Friday. District Superintendent of Police J Brahma Reddy produced the accused before the media at Etcherla police station at a press conference.

According to the Superintendent of Police, the arrested were identified as Korada Govind and Gurugubelli Yathirajulu of Kusalapuram village. Govind, an auto driver, lured the girl and raped her several times. On learning about it, Govind’s wife had a tiff with him. Hence, Govind engaged one Yathirajulu to eliminate the girl.

On March 21, Yathirajulu entered the girl’s house when she was alone and killed her after raping. Later, both the accused tried to create it as a suicide. In the evening, parents of the girl, Srirammurhty, Lakshmi reached home and found her body. Immediately, they lodged a complaint with police.

Based on the complaint, police launched a probe into the case and cracked the murder mystery. Srikakulam DSP K Bhargav Rao Naidu, Ranastalam CI Y Ramakrishna, Etcherla SI YSandeep were also present
