Greater Visakha City Committee of All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) hailed the verdict of the High Court which acquitted Satyam Babu in sensational Ayesha Meera murder case which occurred in 2007.

Visakhapatnam: Greater Visakha City Committee of All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) hailed the verdict of the High Court which acquitted Satyam Babu in sensational Ayesha Meera murder case which occurred in 2007.

City secretary R N Madhavi told reporters though the people’s organisations, AIDWA and the parents of Ayesha had agitated demanding the police arrest the grandson of Koneru Ranga Rao, who was the main accused, the police misled the lower court with false witnesses and as such an innocent person Satyam Babu was awarded with an imprisonment of eight years.

She questioned the police whether they could give back the eight years valuable time to the innocent Satyam Babu adding that the police were acting hand-in-glove with the ruling governments by foisting cases against innocent and hushing up real culprits by threatening
