Vijayawada: At last, the son is all set to rise in Amaravati with decks cleared for induction of Nara Lokesh, scion of the Nara family, into the AP Cabinet scheduled at 9.30am on Sunday.

Lokesh, son of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, will steal the show as Naidu let the Cabinet expansion ceremony be a high-profile event. This is in contrast to the usual practice of maintaining Cabinet reshuffle as a low-key affair.

His father-in-law and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and wife Bramhani reached the city to witness the spectacular event. As soon as Lokesh was sworn in as member of the Legislative Council, he received a big hug from Balayya in exhalation.

Arrangements are in full swing on the premises of the secretariat enabling a big gathering of 3000-4000 people to witness the Cabinet rejig which is happening for the first time nearly three and a half years after the formation of the TDP government.

According to information, Naidu is expected to gift away either Panchayat Raj and Rural Development portfolio or I&I (Industry and Investment) coupled with CRDA to his son in line with his wish to hold any position which helps him establish a direct mass contact.

Meanwhile, Forest Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy, also a long-time associate of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Chittoor district, reportedly skipped the Cabinet meet held on Saturday
