Satyam Babu’s mother, Mariyamma has to wait for another day to see her son. The prison authorities have informed that Satyam Babu will be released on Sunday morning.

Justice has prevailed at last as the High Court acquitted my son from Ayesha Meera murder case, said Mariyamma, mother of Satyam Babu here on Saturday. She arrived at Rajamahendravaram Central Prison to take home her son and recounts her ordeal for last eight to nine years.

However, she claims to be on cloud nine as High Court has squashed the case against her son and recalled how her husband died unable to bear the imprisonment of Satyam Babu, who was the sole-bread winner of the family. She recalled how police did not heed to her pleas that her son was innocent.

Leaders from various organizations started to gather at the central prison from Saturday morning on hearing the news of release of Satyam Babu. Though the High Court gave orders on Friday, but papers did not reach the central prison.
Mother of Satyam Babu, Mariyamma along with advocate P Srinivasa Rao arrived at the central prison at about 1 pm.

Speaking on the occasion, advocate of Satyam Babu recalled that mother Ayesha Meera always felt that Satyam Babu was not the real culprit and alleged that everyone from cabinet ministers to the chief minister at that time were involved in the case. He mentioned that the lab reports have been tampered and demanded stern action against tainted officials and sought government support for Satyam Babu’s family.

AP Bar Council member, Muppalla Subba Rao demanded CBI inquiry in the murder of Ayesha Meera and expressed anguish that Satyam Babu had to spend eight and half years in the prison without his mistake. He further demanded for SC/ST atrocity case against the officials responsible for fate of Satyam Babu..

Later, state president of Mala Sankshema Sangham, Bathula Rama Prasad who stood by the family of Satyam Babu during their bad times demanded for stern action from police officials from SI to ASP ranks involved in Satyam Babu flip flop.
