Ashok, others skip Sujay’s swearing-in ceremony

A few MLAs and an MLC have been opposing the induction of Bobbili MLA R V Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao into the Cabinet fearing that the latter would have one-upmanship in the district politics if he was given a Cabinet berth. K A Naidu (Gajapathinagaram), K Lalithakumari (S Kota), M Geetha (Vizianagaram) and D Jagadish (MLC) reportedly expressed their happiness to P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Sujay’s elevation.

The MLAs reportedly met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and tried to convince him not to consider Sujay candidature, but to no avail. They asked can how an OC candidate will be given a Cabinet berth in the place of Mrinalini. But Sujay it seems had overcome all hurdles as he was in the good books of the Chief Minister and his son and Lokesh.

A large number of followers and fans of Sujay went to Amarvati for swearing-in ceremony. G Ganesh, husband of Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dr Swathi Rani accompanied Sujay and made arrangements there. It is learnt that he has been sailing with Sujay for the past few months.

And now, Ganesh became a close confidant of Sujay and the both would organise the party programmes, according to sources.
