Chittoor: As an unexpected move, Palamaner MLA Nuthanakalva Amaranatha Reddy has won a cabinet berth, a surprise to one and all in the district. Having come to know well in advance that Nara Lokesh Babu is the definite candidate to be sworn as a minister on April 2, many of the aspirants including N Amaranatha Reddy, G.Muddu Krishnama Naidu , MLC, D.A.Satya Prabha, Chittoor MLA and others haddropped their efforts indefinitely.
In this context, it may be recalled here that late N Ramakrishna Reddy, father of N Amaranath Reddy and the then TDP MP used to express serious anguish against Chandrababu Naidu in those days for not offering him a minister’s post though he was elected thrice as TDP MLA from Punganur and as Chittoor MP. Ramakrishna Reddy used to crack jokes on CM directly for ignoring his thirty-year successful political career as well as dedicated service for the development of TDP.
Now, Ramakrishna Reddy’s desire is fulfilled in the form of his son N. Amaranatha Reddy incidentally. It may be stated here that Minister N Amaranath Reddy has won twice as MLA from Punganuru and Palamaner Assembly constituencies. In 2014 General election, Amaranatha Reddy won Palamaner on YSRCP ticket who later defected to TDP on June 17 last year.
Out of four YSRCP defected legislators to TDP, Amaranath Reddy is one who luckily got the chance to be a part of the cabinet.
