Jammalamadugu town overjoyed
TDP cadres celebrated after Jammalamadugu MLA D. Adinarayana Reddy was provided a minister post in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet after a long wait. Party functionaries distributed sweets to the public in the Jammalamadugu town on Sunday evening.

However there was displeasure expressed by MLC Ramasubba Reddy who was having high expectations for a minister’s post in the reshuffle. According to sources, Ramasubba Reddy ignored Chandrababu Naidu‘s proposal when he was offered the RTC Chairman post.
Meanwhile Chadipiralla Adinarayana Reddy of Devagudi village in Jammalamadugu mandal (popularly known as Devagudi Adinarayana Reddy) was a strong follower and close associate of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Adinarayana did his post graduation in Chemistry and worked a lecturer for some time.
He also was the National Mazdoor Union president in APSRTC and started his political life as ward member in Devagudi village. With the initiation of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy contested for MLA post of Jammala madugu constituency and won the election against former TDP minister P. Rama Subba Reddy with 22,000-vote majority in 2004 general elections.
Later he contested from the same Jammalamadugu constituency in 2009 and on YSR Congress ticket in 2014 and won both elections. However he differed with the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, joined TDP in February last year and played a key role for TDP to secure victory in the recent Local Body Authority (LBA) elections.
