Kala’s induction may clip Atchannaidu’s wings
Senior leader and TDP state president Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao’s induction into the Cabinet will help balance the politics in the district. Being a senior leader Kala has good relations with all the MLAs and leaders in the district and he is representing the second largest community Turpu Kapu in the district.

Till the expansion of Cabinet, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was the only Minister from the district and he was enjoying one-upmanship. It is learnt that Government Whip Kuna Ravi Kumar, Srikakulam MLA Gunda Laxmidevi and their followers were not happy with the authoritarian attitude of the Minister.
In this back drop, elevation of Kala Venkata Rao as Minister from the district would help balance politics in the district.Furthermor, followers of Kala Venkata Rao from Srikakulam, Etcherla, Rajam, Palakonda and other Assembly segments went to Vijayawada to greet their leader. Meanwhile, followers of Palasa MLA GSS Sivaji were unhappy for denying the Cabinet berth to their leader.
