The State Investigation Bureau (SIB) police officials took three activists of CPI-ML (New Democracy) Chandranna Dalam at Kamayyakunta and Kannapuram villages in Buttayagudem and Koyyalagudem mandals on Sunday, according to sources
Eluru: The State Investigation Bureau (SIB) police officials took three activists of CPI-ML (New Democracy) Chandranna Dalam at Kamayyakunta and Kannapuram villages in Buttayagudem and Koyyalagudem mandals on Sunday, according to sources.
According to information, three members of Chandranna Dalam Karam Kannayya, Madakam Ramarao alias Ramanna, Chimala Vasantha Rao tried to extort money from a timber merchant in Kannapuram village on Sunday. In this process, dalam member went to a cashew garden in Kamayyakunta village of Buttaygudem mandal.
The SIB team has raided on the cashew garden and took Kannayya into their custody. Later, the team tapped the mobiles of other persons and found them in Kannapuram village of Koyyalagudem mandal.
Meanwhile, the team had received information that these three Chandranna group activists of New Democracy have planned to kill a timber trader at Kannapuram village, suspecting him as police informer. They seized one pistol, 10 rounds bullets from the activists.
