Guntur: A couple of supporters of former social welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu on Monday enacted a high-voltage suicide drama as a mark of protest against sacking of their leader from the cabinet. Bolla Arun Kumar and G Suresh on Monday scaled a cell tower and threatened to kill themselves.
They urged Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to re-induct Ravela into the Cabinet. It became a tough time for the police to end the suicide drama.
The police cordoned off the area even as DSP KGV Saritha repeatedly requested them to call off their protest. At last, they relented, ending the drama that lasted for a few hours.
