4 north Andhra MLAs unhappy over denial of berth in Cabinet
Four MLAs from North Andhra are among the scores who felt dejected over the Cabinet expansion that took place on Sunday. Of them Gouthu Syam Sunder Sivaji, six-time MLA and son of freedom fighter and legendry Backward Classes leader Sardar Gouthu Latchanna, expected a berth in the Cabinet to represent the backward classes.

“Both Sivaji and Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu from backward Srikakulam district drew the national attention for their service to the downtrodden classes. They were also instrumental in strengthening the party in the district. The party president caused injustice to the BCs by denying a berth to Sivaji, who is as senior as KE Krishna Murthy and Kodela Sivaprasada Rao,
’’ the followers of Sivaji said.Similarly, Pendurthy MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy too expected to be inducted in the new team. In the earlier stint in the 90s, Naidu made him the minister for municipal administration and was satisfied with his performance.
The people of Vennelapalem, the home village of Murthy, said while the TDP was in opposition for 10 years, Satyanarayana Murthy remained with the party and took initiatives to keep the followers intact. He also took active part during the Padayatra conducted by Chandrababu Naidu in the district.
The sulking MLA is out of reach and switched off his mobile phone.On the instructions of Chandrababu Naidu, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao tried to reach out to him for consoling but he was not available.Paykaraopeta MLA, most outspoken MLA among the women, Vangalapudi Anitha, too felt dejected.
