Kirlampudi (East Godavari): Former minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Monday wrote a letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleging that the Chief Minister published a book with the support of a leading vernacular daily against him and Kapu community and distributed in the state.

He alleged that the state government wanted to create turmoil among Kapus by instigating BCs against them and the book is the fresh example for this.In his letter, Mudragada came down heavily on Chandrababu and alleged that he is not corrupt like the TDP supremo. Mudragada further alleged that Naidu had a criminal record and he had no such record.

The Kapu leader said Naidu also possessed the dubious distinction of throwing chappals at his father-in-law. He had hatched a plot to destablise the government to secure power. He said that he was ready to face adverse propaganda spread through books written against him and suggested to the Chief Minister to write more books and sell them to make money.

Mudragada further said he was not as rich as the Chief Minister and was still looking for hand loans to travel to Hyderabad and other place to arrange meetings.Mudragada said right from 1978 when he joined politics, he recalled that he had ever aspired for the posts of MLA, MP or minister.

He said Chandrababu Naidu had sent emissaries to him several times to convince him to contest as MP. Mudragada pointed out that when TDP founder N T Rama Rao asked him to contest, he refused to contest. He said that he never compromised in life for power and stood for ethical values.

He said that he came to know that it was mentioned in the book that if Kapu leader Nalla Suryachandra Rao had been alive, the Kapus issue would have been resolved. He suggested to the Chief Minister that he can settle the issue through Rao’s wife who is alive.
