Include Sri City in TUDA: RSU
Requesting the abolishment of GO No 278 which includes Sri City in Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA), the Rayalaseema Students Union (RSU) has submitted a memorandum to Tirupati Sub Collector Nishant Kumar.
Tirupati: Requesting the abolishment of GO No 278 which includes Sri City in Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA), the Rayalaseema Students Union (RSU) has submitted a memorandum to Tirupati Sub Collector Nishant Kumar.
They met the Sub collector at his Office here on Monday along with the Rayalaseema Intellectual Forum convenor M Purushotham Reddy and Rayalaseema Porata Samithi convenor P Naveen Kumar Reddy. They urged the Sub Collector to impress upon the government for withdrawal of GO No 278.
Instead of coming to the rescue of the drought-hit district, they said it is unethical to shift the existing firms and financial resources into other districts. The RSU leaders said that the government had already taken a decision against the interests of the district with regard to Kandaleru Reservoir Project, Cancer Research Institute and Mannavaram project.
It is unjust to include the Sri City into NUDA and the government should withdraw the GO and bring into the fold of Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), they demanded.
