According to party sources, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided not to accept Bojjala’s resignation for Srikalahasti MLA post as he wants to utilise his services for the district development. Meanwhile, newly appointed Minister N Amarnath Reddy has personally met Bojjala and requested him not to take any hasty decision.
He has sought Bojjala’s support for the development of the district and assured him that he would continue to respect the seniors in the TDP. The party sources said that the TDP national general secretary and Minister Nara Lokesh doesn’t want to interfere in the issue and asked the district TDP leaders to put an end to the stalemate.
It is learnt that the district party leaders have expressed their dismay over the step taken by the Chief Minister in the case of Bojjala. Several opposition party leaders have condemned the injustice done to Bojjala by the Chief Minister. Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, CPM district secretary Kumar Reddy has criticised Chandrababu Naidu for inducting four defected YSRCP legislators into his cabinet.
He slammed Chandrababu for encouraging hereditary politics by making Nara Lokesh as Minister and Balakrishna as MLA. Referring to the removal of Srikalahasti MLA from the cabinet, Kumar Reddy stated that the TDP leader was the most loyal associate of the Chief Minister for the last 30 years. “Chandrababu has insulted Bojjala by stripping his Minister post,” he alleged.
YSRCP district convenor Srinivasulu made a scathing attack on the Chief Minister for stripping Bojjala of Minister post after using his services. He stated that doors of YSRCP are always welcome to Bojjala. DRDA Project Director Ravi Prakash Reddy said that Bojjala was very particular about developing the district as model one.
However, TDP district president G Srinivasulu denied commenting on the resignation of Bojjala. Former MP Durga Rama Krishna made an appeal to the Chief Minister to make use of Gopalakrishna Reddy services for strengthening the party.
Even though, the TDP leaders are not against accommodating Amarnath Reddy in the cabinet but there is strong feeling that Chandrababu would have continued Bojjala as Minister.
