Sompeta and Ichchapuram in Srikakulam received five and three cm of rainfall respectively during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday. There was one cm of rain each in Kalingapatnam and Tekkali, according to the Met department bulletin.

While isolated rain occurred in coastal Andhra Pradesh, dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema.The bulletin said the day temperatures likely to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius at a few places in Rayalaseema for the next two days.
During the last 24 hours the maximum temperatures rose at one or two places in coastal Andhra. There was no large change in Rayalaseema.The highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Anantapur. The other emperatures recorded in the State were:
