Devotees throng East Yadavalli
Srirama Navami was celebrated in various parts of West Godavari district on Wednesday. People thronged Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple, adopted by Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam, at East Yadavalli village to witness the Kalyanotsavam of Lord Rama and Sita.
Eluru/Dwaraka Tirumala: Srirama Navami was celebrated in various parts of West Godavari district on Wednesday. People thronged Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple, adopted by Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam, at East Yadavalli village to witness the Kalyanotsavam of Lord Rama and Sita.
Dwaraka Tirumala Devasthanam trust board member S V Nivrutha Rao, executive officer Vendra Trinadha Rao presented cloths to Lord Rama at East Yadavalli temple. Hundreds of devotees watched the celestial wedding. The festival was celebrated at various Rama temples in Eluru city on Wednesday.
In Ameenapeta Reserve Police Lines, district SP Bhaskar Bhushan, his wife Geeshma Kantha performed the Sita Rama Kalyanam in the morning at Sri Dasanjaneya Swamy temple. The SP said the festivities would be conducted for five days at the temple. Additional SP V Ratna, Eluru DSP G Venkateswara Rao, traffic DSP V Srinivasa Rao, CIs N Rajasekhar, U Bangarraju and police officials and personnel participated in the Kalyanotsavam.
