The officials of endowments made elaborate arrangements to celebrate Srirama Navami on a grand manner on Wednesday at Ramateertham village in Nellimarla mandal of Vizianagaram district.The temple is one of the oldest temples in the state and the government is officially conducting the Srirama Navami celebrations at Vontimitta in Kadapa district.

Ramateertham (Vizianagaram): The officials of endowments made elaborate arrangements to celebrate Srirama Navami on a grand manner on Wednesday at Ramateertham village in Nellimarla mandal of Vizianagaram district.The temple is one of the oldest temples in the state and the government is officially conducting the Srirama Navami celebrations at Vontimitta in Kadapa district.

But the government is according priority to celebrations at Ramateertham temple also.Last year, Minister for Endowments P Manikyala Rao paid a visit to the temple and offered ‘talambralu’ and silk robes to Lord Sri Rama and his consort Sita on behalf of the government. Around one lakh people will visit the temple on Srirama Navami.

This year, Minister for Endowments P Manikyala Rao, commissioner P Anuradha will attend the celebrations and will offer silk robes and ‘talambralu’ to presiding deity on behalf of the government.Public from north Andhra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal will visit the temple and participate in celestial wedding of Lord Srirama and Sita.

Additional barricades and queue lines are arranged here and drinking water is also being provided for the devotees. Tents and other accommodation are being provided. RTC is running special buses to the temple to clear the rush from various areas of the district. Executive officer of the temple K Babu Rao said that they are taking measures to complete the mega event without any hiccups.
