Speaking on the occasion, they called upon youth to take inspiration from the life of Jagjjivan Ram. Municipal commissioner Yarra Saye Srikanth, deputy mayor Gudiwada Ramachandra Kishore, corporators Rayi Vimala, Jijjuvarapu Prathap Kumar and others participated in the programme.
Later, Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao participated in a programme held at Ambedkar Bhavan near Alluri Sitaramaraju Stadium. On the occasion, the MLA distributed house site pattas to five Dalit women and disbursed loans worth Rs 12.07 crore 438 self help group women.
In-charge collector P Koteswara Rao distributed autos and equipment to 11 beneficiaries, who were sanctioned loans worth Rs 22.50 lakh from SC Corporation.In Kovvuru, excise minister KS Jawahar while paying tributes, praised the services of Jagjjivan Ram to the nation.
