Ensure 24x7 power to industries: CM
Chief Minister N Chandrababu has directed the officials to study the global power supply pattern in the developed countries to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the industries of Andhra Pradesh. He said energy plays vital role in the development of the state and industries need 24x7 power supplies for the speedy economic development.

The CM conducted a tele-conference with the officials on Wednesday on power supply to the industries.He directed Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar to prepare a time bound action plan by involving all key departments and study the global power supply pattern without any interruption in advanced Nations like, Canada, USA, Japan, Germany, Singapore and China and extend the same in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister has suggested for an alternative feeder supply mechanism. He recalled that Andhra Pradesh had struggled a lot due to shortage of power for many years and now became self sufficient and reached to the stage of surplus power. He felt surplus power will be a boon for industrial promotion in AP.
He further said AP attracted substantial investments to the tune of Rs 16, 24,262 crore till date which in itself is a national record.He stated that these MOUs are expected to provide around 32 lakh job opportunities in future in the State. CM has pointed that the entire world is observing the congenial and pro-industry atmosphere in AP.
He reiterated that the state government is committed to issue all necessary clearances within 21 days for setting up of industries.He instructed the Chief Secretary to work out special strategy to promote small scale industries even at mandal level to create rural employment.
