RINL achieves significant growth: Chairman and Managing Director

Visakhapatnam: Chairman and Managing Director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited P Madhusudan emphasised the need for re-oriented efforts and to improve daily work management to contribute significantly to meet the annual production and the sales target of 2017-18 fiscal.

He was addressing the company senior executives on the occasion of completion of 2016-17 financial year at a meeting at Ukkunagaram on Wednesday.

The CMD disclosed though the RINL made a significant growth in all areas of operations and marketing, the price hike of coking coal, iron ore and other inputs has its impact on the company performance during 2016-17. He called upon the employees to achieve the rated capacity from the new units and to cut the losses by increasing volume of operations.

Digital payments and e-Tendering brought improvement in the company performance, he added. Directors P C Mohapatra, D N Rao, P Raychaudhury, K C Das, executive directors, general managers, HoDs, representatives of Steel Executives’ Association and union leaders attended.

Later, the CMD launched Swachh Bharat Pakwada campaign at the Coke Ovens Battery-3 in which director (Operations) D N Rao, executive directors and senior officers participated. The CMD took part in the cleanliness drive and planted saplings on the occasion and commended the Coke Ovens employees for keeping their surroundings clean.
