Celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara celebrated on a grand scale
The celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara was celebrated with religious fervours on a grand scale here on Thursday. Local legislator Aithabathula Anandarao, RDO Ganesh Kumar, Area Hospital development committee chairman Metla Ramana Babu presented silk clothes to the presiding deities while Manyam Subramaneswara Rao of Ravulapalem presented 1 Kg pearls.
Amalapuram: The celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara was celebrated with religious fervours on a grand scale here on Thursday. As many as 10, 000 devotees thronged the temple. Arrangements were made for the convenience of all devotes. Temple Committee Chairman Karri Dattudu and Executive Engineer V V V S N Murthy involved themselves in supervision. Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa performed special poojas to the presiding deities in the morning and left to the cabinet meeting.
