the TDP activists and followers of MLA T Sravan Kumar intercepted his car and squatted in front of the vehicle in protest. They did not allow the Minister near the venue where the foundation to be laid for Ambedkar statue.The TDP activists questioned Minister for Social Welfare,
how he had come without giving information to local MLA Sravan Kumar. In tur, the Minister said that he suddenly fixed his programme and came there and next time whenever his pays a visit to the MLA’s constituency he would inform the MLA about his tour. Later, they allowed the Minister.
MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar expected Cabinet berth, but he was not inducted instead Nakka Anand Babu was given the post.
MLA Sravan Kumar reportedly motivated the local farmers to give their lands under the Land Pooling System to the government for the construction of the capital.
His followers felt that in spite of it, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not recognise his services. Hence, when the Minister came to Inavolu without intimation, they stopped him and staged a protest.
