Officials told to formulate action plan for kharif -2017
Agriculture officials should formulate an action plan to make farmers cultivate according to their requirements, said deputy director K Lakshmana Rao here on Thursday.He conducted review meeting with the officials of agriculture and affiliated departments of Rajamahendravaram division on action plan of Khariff-2017 here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmana Rao stressed the need for steps at field level to reduce cultivation cost and to obtain quality product. He further directed the officials to create awareness among farmers to reduce fertiliser cost, utilisation of micro nutrients and to increase cultivation area.
Speaking on the occasion, Peddapuram farmers training centre in-charge V Bosu Babu said that field probes were being conducted to formulate kharif action plan in the district and added that training programmes were also being conducted at revenue divisional level.
District Yeruwaka scientist Praveena said that action plans should be formulated to obtain high yield with less expenditure. Samalkota soil testing centre assistant director Jyothirmayee, assistant director K Surya Ramesh and D.V Krishna were present on the occasion.
