Press Council of India (PCI) Accreditation Sub-Committee head Rajiv Ranjan Nag said that PCI Accreditation Sub-Committee suggested a few recommendations to the Information and Public Relations Department officials on the issue of accreditation cards to the journalists, who were working in different media organisations in the state.

Vijayawada: Press Council of India (PCI) Accreditation Sub-Committee head Rajiv Ranjan Nag said that PCI Accreditation Sub-Committee suggested a few recommendations to the Information and Public Relations Department officials on the issue of accreditation cards to the journalists, who were working in different media organisations in the state.

Addressing the media persons at the State Guest House here on Friday, Rajiv Ranjan Nag said that the I&PR officials accepted to execute the PCI Sub-Committee recommendations for issuing accreditation cards to the journalists working in different media organisations in the state.

He disclosed that nearly 2,000 accreditation cards has been issued by the all state governments in the country, but the Andhra Pradesh government had issued nearly 1,7000 accreditation cards to the journalists working in different media organisation in the state.

I&PR Commissioner S Venkateswara Rao explained to the PCI Sub-Committee members over the norms of the state government on issuing accreditation cards to journalists in the state.PCI Sub-Committee member Prabath Kumar Dash, I&PR additional director M Krishnanand, joint director of I&PR P Kiran and others were present.
