SP warns cricket bookies
West Godavari District Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan on Friday warned that stringent action will be initiated against the bookies and punters who indulge in cricket betting in the district. He also warned the middlemen who illegally collect money at sand ramps in the district would face severe action.

The Collector conducted ‘Dial your SP’ programme on Friday at District Police Office. About 37 people from various parts of the district complained the SP on their problems. The district SP directed the police officials to resolve the complaints immediately.
During Dial Your SP, the SP requested the public to inform on the cricket betting if any at any place conducted to the police. The SP said that on April 8, Lok Adalat will be conducted in District Court and parties can resolve their pending cases amicably through dialogue.
