TS prisoners’ handicrafts exhibition begins
Traffic Deputy Commissioner of Police Kranthi Rana Tata inaugurated the paintings and handicrafts exhibition-cum-sale of prisoners of Telangana state jails here on Saturday. Addressing the media persons here on Saturday, he said that the Telangana government was imparting training to the prisoners in making handicrafts.
Vijayawada: Traffic Deputy Commissioner of Police Kranthi Rana Tata inaugurated the paintings and handicrafts exhibition-cum-sale of prisoners of Telangana state jails here on Saturday. Addressing the media persons here on Saturday, he said that the Telangana government was imparting training to the prisoners in making handicrafts.
He appealed to the people buy the handicrafts at the exhibition to encourage the prisoners.Telangana state deputy superintendent of prison A Arjuna Rao said that the Telangana government was conducting handicrafts exhibition-cum-sale every month in different states for two days under the guidelines of Director General of Prison for providing rehabilitation and financial support to the prisoners. Former MLC Ilapuram Venkaiah was also present.
