Sri City Foundation President Ramesh Subramaniam extended a warm welcome to the officers and briefed them on the origin, growth and status of Sri City and its unique features.

Tirupati: A five-member team of trainee officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) visited Sri City on Saturday on a study tour. Sri City Foundation President Ramesh Subramaniam extended a warm welcome to the officers and briefed them on the origin, growth and status of Sri City and its unique features.

Commenting on trainee IAS officers’ visit, Sri City founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy said that he is very happy to share their experiences with the future policy makers of the country. The visiting delegation was impressed with Sri City's planning, implementation, sustainable urbanisation principles and keenness on employment generation.

The team, which included CM Saikanth Varma, DK Balaji, V Vinod Kmar, Abhishikth Kishore and MN Harindhira Prasad, visited the place, as a part of their study tour called 'Bharat Darshan'. They all belong to Andhra Pradesh cadre. During the briefing session, they all evinced keen interest and quizzed on different aspects of Sri City. Later, they went round the industrial zone and visited the production unit of Foxconn.
