CM taking sides with corporates: Medha Patkar

Bethapudi (West Godavari): Medha Patkar, Founder member of National Alliance for People's Movement (NAPM) firmly said she will raise her voice at the national level against the establishment of Aqua Mega Food Park at Tundurru village in Bhimavaram mandal. She addressed the villagers on Saturday night at Kamsali Bethapudi village of Narsapuram mandal.

She toured Tundurru, Jonnala Garuvu villages also and interacted with the villagers to know the problems of the villagers. She was two and half hour behind schedule and addressed the meeting. She said "I appreciate the agitation by villagers in this area against pollution. You should go ahead with your fight until the park shifted from this area. The women power can do it. ”she stated.

She said that Chandrababu Naidu just supports the corporate forces and he left you alone to your fate. She demanded the government to shift the aqua park from this area and hold talks to solve the problem. CPM district committee secretary B Balaram explained the agitation and the attitude of the government. Environmentalist Kalapala Babu Rao, NAPM convenors Meera Sanghamitra, and others also addressed the gathering.
