Srikakulam: Simmering differences among the TDP leaders in Srikakulam district came to the fore after rejig of the Cabinet. District TDP president G Sirisha was keeping aloof from party meetings which were held to discuss plans to welcome the newly inducted Minister Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao and Minister K Atchannaidu as her father and Palasa MLA Gouthu Shyama Sundar Sivaji was disappointed as he did not get Cabinet berth.

Followers of newly inducted Minister Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao and Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu are making elaborate arrangements separately. Ranastalam, Laveru mandal leaders under Etcherla Assembly segment and Rajam mandal leaders under Rajam assembly segment made arrangements separately for receiving Minister for Energy K Kala Venkata Rao who reached the district after he was inducted as Minister on Sunday.

On the other hand, leaders belonging to Srikakulam district headquarters Assembly segment conducted a discussion under the leadership of Srikakulam MLA Gunda Laxmidevi for making arrangements to receive Minister for Transport, BC Welfare, Empowerment, Handlooms and Textiles K Atchannaidu who will reach the district on Monday.According to tradition, the party district office has to make arrangements to receive both the ministers.

But in the wake of intra-party squabbles among the party leaders discussion was held to receive Atchannaidu at his camp office in Srikakulam, while a meeting was conducted at Ranastalam and Rajam to receive Kala Venkata Rao. Interestingly, the district party office did not pay attention to receive Kala Venkat Rao though he is the party state president.
