Excise Minister vows to control arrack, gan
Excise Minister K S Jawahar informed that a comprehensive plan to control ganja and arrack will be implemented in the state for a healthy society.Addressing press corps at ZP meeting hall, here on Monday, the minister said that West Godavari leads state in arrack-free district. He said that the same will be implemented all across the state.

He said that the same will be implemented all across the state.
He said that he will take charge as minister on April 12 at 1.30 pm at Amaravati. After taking charge as minister, he will concentrate on the directions given by Supreme Court to control the liquor shops on national highways. He said that the excise department will open chalivendralu across the state.
These centres will provide people with drinking water and buttermilk. He said that the department will also take up counselling to the youth to take up sports instead of liquor and other bad habits. ZP chairman Mullapudi Bapiraju, Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao (Bujji) were also present.
