Ongole: The managing director of Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation, KV Ramana, ordered the officials to cancel the beneficiaries for the housing scheme, who didn’t take up construction yet and allot them to the other eligible candidates. In a review meeting with the Prakasam, Guntur and Nellore district housing corporation officials held at Ongole on Tuesday, the MD ordered the officials to complete the construction of houses as per the target in the stipulated time without fail.

For the Prakasam district, Ramana ordered the housing project officials to complete the 200000 houses sanctioned under NTR Rural Housing Scheme for the year 2016-17 by June 2017. He said that the approvals for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 will also be given very soon and asked the officials to prepare the list of 1100 beneficiaries for each constituency for each financial year.

He also ordered officials to complete the 72885 houses sanctioned under Pradhana Mantri Avaas Yojana- Grameen scheme by June 2017 and 73041 houses sanctioned under NTR Urban Housing scheme by May 2017 without fail. He said that unfinished houses under Indira Avaas Yojana scheme for 2014-15 and 2015-16 will be given Rs. 25000 additional financial help for the completion of the construction.

The Prakasam district incharge collector Dr M Hari Jawaharlal, superintending engineers P Sriramulu, Venkata Reddy, general manager (finance) Bhaskar and project directors for Prakasam, Nellore and Guntur M Srinivasa Rao, RC Reddy, NS Rao and other officials of APSHC participated in the meeting.
