Chittoor: Traffic DSP Kesappa said the Traffic police would take action against pseudo journalists using ‘Press’ stickers on their vehicles. He advised accredited journalists to carry valid documents while driving the vehicles. “It has come to our notice that ‘Press’ stickers are being used by unauthorised persons,

” he said and added that the Traffic police would issue the ‘Press’ stickers for the accredited journalists only as per the instructions of District SP G Srinivas. He asked accredited journalists to submit photostat copies, driving licenses, Aadhaar cards, accreditation cards, vehicle registration certificates and other documents to the Traffic police for getting the police certified ‘Press’ stickers.

It may be stated here that several vehicles are running in the city with ‘Press’ stickers in order to enjoy special privileges. The DSP said that the Police department would issue ‘Press’ stickers to prevent the fraudulent acts of the pseudo journalists.
