A village revenue officer was caught by ACB staff while accepting bribe from a farmer to issue Pattadar pass book for his own agriculture land.On Monday, Deputy Superintendent ACB Shakila Bhanu informed that K. Appala Naidu of Mopada village in Denkada Mandal approached the Village Revenue officer K. Usha Rani to issue a Pattadar Pass book for his own land of 70 cents.

Denkada (Vizianagaram): A village revenue officer was caught by ACB staff while accepting bribe from a farmer to issue Pattadar pass book for his own agriculture land.On Monday, Deputy Superintendent ACB Shakila Bhanu informed that K. Appala Naidu of Mopada village in Denkada Mandal approached the Village Revenue officer K. Usha Rani to issue a Pattadar Pass book for his own land of 70 cents.

The VRO demanded the farmer give Rs.70000 as bribe to issue the pass book. After some bargaining, the deal was settled to pay Rs.35000 to her.The vexed farmer approached the ACB officials and appealed to them to help him in this issue. Based on the complaint they sent the farmer with currency notes which were coated with some chemicals and later they caught the officer while taking the amount from the petitioner in the office premises. Circle Inspector K.Ramesh, S.Lakshmoji participated in the raid.
