Will work for district development: Palle Raghunatha Reddy
Former Minister and Government Chief Whip Palle Raghunatha Reddy has promised to work for the development of the district including industrialisation and for the speedy completion of the Handri-Neeva irrigation project irrespective of his political position.

Addressing a press conference at his residence here on Monday, Palle thanked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for using his services as a Minister, MLC, MLA and as Government Chief Whip. He said that he was happy that he was ranked as a good performer but due to changing political equations, the Chief Minister has to use services of even others.
Palle also thanked District Collector Kona Sasidhar, DWMA Project Director Nagabhushanam and DRDA Project Director Venkateswarlu and even all the district officers and even SP Rajasekhar for being cooperative in his discharge of responsibility as a Minister. More than anyone, he said that owed his political success to the people of his constituency who stood with him.
The former Minister said that he would work with government for a special package to Anantapur district to tide over severe drought conditions and also for speedy industrialisation of the district. He said that he was instrumental in bringing in investments for establishing IT based industries.
He opined that it would take 15 years for Andhra Pradesh to reach the standard of Hyderabad and Bangalore on the IT front. Palle said that he would work for strengthening of the party at the grass root level and prepare the party for 2019 elections in the district. He said that he would devote more time for party and to get closer to people.
