The Minister participated in the 191th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyothirao Phule at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Tuesday.

Enlisting the achievements of the state government, the Minister said that the Chief Minister had allocated Rs 10,000 crore under BC sub-plan for the BCs. Amarnath Reddy stated that the government had introduced several welfare schemes for uplift of BCs. He gave a call to the officials to rededicate themselves for implementation of welfare schemes effectively.

“BC students should avail the educational schemes introduced by the government,” he said. ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, MLA D A Satyaprabha, MLCs, TDP district president G Srinivasulu and other district officials also spoke.Joint Collector 2 Venkatasubba Reddy has explained the various measures taken by the government for the welfare of the BCs in the district.

Later, the Minister has visited various publicity stalls and drove an auto which was presented to a BC beneficiary. Amarnath Reddy also participated in various programmes actively here as it was his first official visit after
assuming charge as Minister.
