Model school teachers protest for salaries
Members of Andhra Pradesh Model School Teachers Federation (APMSTF) on Wednesday protested at the Directorate of School Education office demanding release of salaries of the teachers from February and PRC arrears. Speaking on the occasion, APMSTF state president S Murali Krishna said that the protest was against the government for not releasing the salaries and failure to solve teachers\' problems.
Vijayawada: Members of Andhra Pradesh Model School Teachers Federation (APMSTF) on Wednesday protested at the Directorate of School Education office demanding release of salaries of the teachers from February and PRC arrears.
Speaking on the occasion, APMSTF state president S Murali Krishna said that the protest was against the government for not releasing the salaries and failure to solve teachers' problems.
APMSTF general secretary N Bose Babu said that the government had not introduced service rules for the teachers so far. It should do it immediately and grant third annual increment besides releasing health cards.He further said that the government had forced the APMSTF teachers to come on the roads in the hot sun to solve their problems.
APMSTF state vice-presidents P Chandrashekar and G Venkatramaiah, secretaries B Somaiah, Narendra Naik, Subba Rao and about 600 teachers were present.
