4 held in head constable murder case
Krishnalanka police cracked the mystery behind the murder of head constable Ayub Khan who was brutally killed by own family members on December 19, 2016 at Sikhamani centre under the Krishnalanka police station limits. His body was found near Velagaleru of G Konduru mandal.Â

Property disputes were the reasons behind the murder of the head constable. The family members killed him in Vijayawada city and dumped the body in the outskirts of the city to make others believe that the head constable was killed in a road accident. After more than three and half months of investigation, the Krishnalanka police arrested his two sons and two daughters for murdering Ayub Khan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and Order G Pala Raju addressing media conference at Krishnalanka gave the details of the murder and subsequent arrests. Ayub Khan has a wife, two sons and two daughters. They were unhappy as Ayub Khan did not get his share of Rs.10 lakh from the ancestral property in Pedana of Krishna district. Ayub Khan’s brothers got an agreement for the sale of land in Pedana and took Rs.50 lakh as advance.
However, Ayub Khan did not get his share of Rs.10 lakh. His brothers did not give him his due share. This lead to disputes between father Ayub Khan and his sons and daughters. Finally, elder daughter Neeloufar in a fit of rage smashed the head of her father with a log on December 18 at their residence near Sikhamani centre.
Later, the family members to cover up the murder dumped the body near Velagaleru in the outskirts of Vijayawada. Ayub Khan’s brother suspected some foul game and put pressure on the police to investigate the case and book the culprits. Finally, the police arrested two sons and two daughters for murdering the head constable.
