Collector flags off Ambedkar Ideology Run
Collector Pravin Kumar said that many revolutionary changes have taken place in the country after the implementation of the Indian Constitution.Before flagging off the Ambedkar Ideology Run organised jointly by the Departments of State Youth Services and Social Welfare on the Beach Road here on Wednesday in connection with Dr B R Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary.
Visakhapatnam: Collector Pravin Kumar said that many revolutionary changes have taken place in the country after the implementation of the Indian Constitution.Before flagging off the Ambedkar Ideology Run organised jointly by the Departments of State Youth Services and Social Welfare on the Beach Road here on Wednesday in connection with Dr B R Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary, Pravin Kumar said that those who were aware of the rights incorporated in the Constitution, got justice.
Paying rich tributes to Babasaheb, the Collector said that B R Ambedkar will be remembered for long as he had played a key role by working day and night for drafting the Indian Constitution. Drawing inspiration from the life of Dr Ambedkar, he appealed to all sections of people to participate in Ambedkar Jayanthi Utsav to be conducted on April 14 and also in the development of the state with the same spirit.
The Ambedkar Ideology Run which commenced from the NTR statue returned to the spot after covering the area up to YMCA. Among others, Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan, Joint Collector G Srujana, Joint Collector-2 D V Reddy, District Youth Welfare Officer Dr A Siri, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Ramana Murty, officials and students participated.
