IGNOU convocation today

Visakhapatnam: The 30th convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be conducted at the local regional centre, Vuda complex, Ushodaya junction, MVP Colony at 3 pm on Thursday while the main convocation will be held at the IGNOU head quarters, New Delhi.

Regional Director Dr S Raja Rao informed The Hans India on Wednesday that Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey will deliver the convocation address at the headquarters which will be relayed through webcast to all regional centres in the country. He said that former Member of UPSC Prof K S Chalam will be attending the convocation at the regional centre to address the students and distribute degrees.

He also informed that information letters have already been sent to those students who opted to attend the convocation in person to receive degrees at the regional centre. SMS alerts were also sent to the students asking them to attend the convocation with IGNOU identity card for collecting original degree.
