Light to moderate rain in AP
Kurnool touched the day’s highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, even as the temperatures were above normal at one or two places in both Rayalaseema and coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Anantapur and Nandyal recorded 42 degrees Celsius each, Kadapa and Tirupati 41 and 40 respectively.

During the last 24 hours, the other temperatures recorded in the State were: Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram 41 each, Nellore 39, Arogyavaram 38, Tuni 37, Kakinada, Kavali, Ongole, Visakhapatnam Airport 36 each, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam, Machilipatnam, Narsapur 35 each, Vijayawada 34, Visakhapatnam 33.
The Met department bulletin said the day temperature is likely to be above normal by two to three degrees Celsius and above 40 degrees Celsius at a few places in Rayalaseema for the next three days.During the last 24 hours, there was no large change in the maximum temperatures in both the coastal and Rayalaseema districts.
They were above normal at one or two places in the two regions. The other temperatures recorded in the State were: Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram 41 each, Nellore 39, Arogyavaram 38, Tuni 37, Kakinada, Kavali, Ongole, Visakhapatnam Airport 36 each, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam, Machilipatnam, Narsapur 35 each, Vijayawada 34, Visakhapatnam 33.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh on April 16, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over south Andaman Sea and its adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal, now seen as a trough, lies over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and its neighbourhood with an embedded upper air circulation over the Andaman Sea and the adjoining south-east Bay.
